SEO from Zero to Hero
We first identified that the hotel website has no Google Analytics and Search Console in place, so we put them there and found that the website had not been indexed at all. We then submitted a sitemap, requested Google to index manually. Part of the reason why this website did not perform was because it has only slideshow on homepage but no relevant text which is not ideal for a good hotel SEO. Google bots does not like this and so we worked with the hotel’s website developer team to implement a slider bar with SEO focused text about the hotel. We then uploaded more content on each page and optimize technically.
We have been tracking its rank from page 13 to 9 to 7 to 3 and to #1 for hotel keywords. At the end of the 6th months, the average visit was 2,700 people by organic search with terms like ‘Ao Nang Beach Hotel’, ‘Hotel in Ao Nang’ or even ‘Ao Nang Laundry’ which we always smile when it came up because we did optimized their self-serviced laundry page.
